What we want to do

Create and build an endowment for the ongoing support of the Lynbrook Public School District

Administer a grant process through which we can fund special projects, programs, lecturers and STEAM initiatives throughout Lynbrook Public School District which can benefit individual schools, teachers and or students

Remain transparent in our fundraising and grant making processes to continuously remind the community that every penny earned goes to a better educational experience in the Lynbrook Public Schools

Continuously recruit new members, listen to public opinion and work with the community-at-large to make the best choices for the Lynbrook Public Schools
ABOUT US
The Excellence in Education Foundation, Inc. for the benefit of Lynbrook, NY Public Schools, was established with the vision of enhancing the quality of the experience for all students in the Lynbrook public schools by securing and providing resources that go beyond the scope of the school budget and the general curriculum. On April 30, 2018, the Excellence in Education Fundation, Inc. was granted 501(c)(3) public charity status by the IRS. All contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Everything the Excellence in Education Foundation, Inc. does supports our mission to provide unique, creative and challenging opportunities for Lynbrook Public School children in grades K-12.

Fundraising efforts to procure community support will turn into grants to our district, schools and teachers that will contribute directly to student motivation and learning. A rigorous review process will take place annually to make sure funds are distributed in ways that are relevant to the needs of the students and support our mission to bring innovation to the classroom.
There has never been a time more critical than now to support our schools. With the passing of a partial bond in 2017, parents and community members have expressed concerns that the bond improvements are just not enough to keep Lynbrook public schools in the forefront of innovation. Many of these parents and community members have become founding members of the Excellence in Education Foundation, Inc. and an integral part of the work being done to create opportunities in the schools that are not available through other means.
